Who is responsible

WorkDrop is the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions and requests go to support@localhost.

What we collect and why

  • Account details (name, email, sign-in sessions): to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Task activity (tasks accepted, proof links you submit, review notes, approval status): to run the marketplace and pay you. Legal basis: contract.
  • Payout details (IBAN, Wise or PayPal identifiers, payment references): to send your earnings. These are passed to the payout provider you choose. Legal basis: contract and legal obligations around payments.
  • Technical data (IP address, browser, device, timestamps, error logs): to keep the service secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable, fraud-free service.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Payout providers (your bank via SEPA transfer, Wise, PayPal) receive what they need to pay you.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run WorkDrop process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements.
  • Brands that post tasks see the proof link you submit and your member display name, not your payout details or email.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and task data stay while your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need to resolve disputes. Payment records are kept for the period required by accounting and tax law. Technical logs are kept for a short, fixed period and then deleted.

Cookies

WorkDrop uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and, when you install it as an app, a service worker to cache pages for offline use. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Email support@localhost and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

The date at the top shows the current version. We will tell you in the app about changes that affect how your data is used. See also our terms of service.
